--- an undergraduate student working on a short-term research task but still pull all nighters,

There are 5 areas of knowledge required for a successful presence in our lab - computer science, neuroscience, robotics, mathematics, machine learning.
When you come (or when you leave), you are expected to be proficient in at least three of these areas.
